Step-by-step conversion workflow

  1. Upload your PDF file: Click the upload area or drag and drop a PDF file into the box. The tool validates the file and detects the number of pages.
  2. Enter password if required: If your PDF is password-protected, enter the password when prompted so the tool can open the document.
  3. Choose output format and page range: Pick PNG or JPG as the output format and optionally enter a page range such as 1-5,8 to convert only specific pages. Leave the field empty to convert all pages.
  4. Start the conversion: Click the Convert to Images button. A progress bar shows how many pages have been processed and the current percentage.
  5. Download your images: Scroll through the page thumbnails and download individual pages, or use the Download All button to get every page as a single ZIP file.

FAQ

Does this PDF to Images tool upload my PDF to any server?

No. All PDF processing and page rendering happen entirely inside your browser using PDF.js. Your PDF file never leaves your device.

Why does the tool ask for a PDF password?

If the PDF is encrypted, PDF.js requires the password to decrypt and read its pages. Without the correct password, pages cannot be rendered into images.

What page formats can I export?

You can export each page as PNG (lossless) or JPEG (smaller file size). Each page is generated as an individual downloadable image.

How do I extract only certain pages?

Use the page range field. Examples: `1-3`, `5`, `2,4,6`, or combined `1-2,5,8-10`. Leaving the field empty converts all pages.
